Participants take part in an interactive team workshop consisting of storytelling/poetic improv techniques, by creating theme-based community and identity poems. Stories are reflections of our experiences and identity. This camp will help participants understand “getting out of their heads and out of their own way” in order to make their ideas come to fruition.

Each teammate will create a community poem and an identity poem using a specific theme decided by the teams. Each team will go through editing and performance workshops to polish their poems. Afterward, each team will create a vision board that reflects the community and identity poems.

Participants will perform their stories while displaying their artwork in showcase style, concluding with their own impact statements about the experience.
