SPANISH FOR HERITAGE SPEAKERS (AGE 10-14)
Description: Through shared analysis of culturally relevant texts, issues, and scenarios, learners will focus on making meaning as a community and expanding the development of reading and writing skills in Spanish. Learners are given frequent opportunities to practice in context-rich, authentic scenarios, as well as direct instruction on Spanish grammar and conventions.
This class is intended for students who have attended immersion programs or have been exposed to Spanish extensively in the home and focuses on literacy as well as bilingualism. Students may join anytime during the school year, subject to available space.
Tuesdays from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM, or Saturdays, 10:30 AM – 12 PM.
