Spanish for Heritage Speakers (Age 6-9)

SPANISH FOR HERITAGE SPEAKERS (AGE 6-9)

DescriptionThrough shared analysis of culturally relevant texts, issues, and scenarios, learners will focus on making meaning as a community and expanding the development of reading and writing skills in Spanish. Learners are given frequent opportunities to practice in context-rich, authentic scenarios, with the guidance of the instructor.

This class is intended for students who have attended immersion programs or have been exposed to Spanish extensively in the home and focuses on literacy as well as bilingualism. Students may join anytime during the school year, subject to available space.

Wednesdays from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM, or Saturdays, 12 PM – 1:30 PM or 12 PM – 2:30 PM.
