Winter Break Camp 2019: Lapland, A Winter Wonderland
LAPLAND, A WINTER WONDERLAND (Age 3.5 – 10 years)
Description: “Lapland casts a powerful spell: there’s something lonely and intangible here that makes it magical. The midnight sun, the Sámi peoples, the aurora borealis (Northern Lights) and roaming reindeer are all components of this—as is Santa Claus himself, who ‘officially’ resides here—along with the awesome latitudes: at Nuorgam, the northernmost point, you have passed Iceland and nearly all of Canada and Alaska.” (Lapland Travel, Lonely Planet)
Hands-on Lapland-themed project work, arts and crafts, and read-alouds will help children explore this magical part of the world.
Children enrolled in the full 3 day week will be going on a field trip to the Brown Cow Ice Cream Parlor in Forest Park to enjoy a frosty treat.
Drop off anytime after 7:30am and pick up anytime before 6:30pm.
