Why do we all need the Amazon? What role does the Amazon play in our daily lives?
The Amazon River is one of the longest rivers in the world, while the Amazon Rainforest is the largest rainforest in the world, providing us with more than 20% of the Earth’s oxygen. Join us this Spring Break as we learn about the importance of the closely linked river and rainforest in South America and learn about deforestation and the sustainability of our planet.
Children will take part in hands on arts and crafts projects, view nature documentaries about Amazon wildlife, take daily trips to the park (weather permitting), play games and spend time in Academia’s indoor studio play / gross motor space.
Dave DiNaso’s Traveling World of Reptiles will be this week’s exciting event!
